Dolly Parton returns to the big screen and will sing a duet with Queen Latifah in "Joyful Noise" a movie prepared for 2012. The film shows the two women attempt to stop the collapse of the gospel choir from a small provincial town.
Director and screenwriter Todd Graff has experience with musicals and he was the one who made the popular teen movie "Camp" (2003) and races of the high school rock bands' "Bandslam" (2009). Queen Latifah plays the mother of two teenagers who ends up with responsibility after death Pacashau gospel choir conductor.
Dolly Parton is the widow of the conductor trying to take over her deceased husband duties. Oscar nominee for her role in "Chicago" in 2002, Queen Latifah has also recently starred in "Just Wright" and "Valentine's Day.
